Gives a New Meaning to Playing with your Food!

July 20, 2014

Time to visit the hobby shop and let your imagination take you beyond making a little town around the railroad tracks. Get inspired by the artist, Pierre Javelle and Akiko Ida, and their works of art using 2 of my favorite things, models and food! The new worlds they take you to and the love that they put into their work is portrayed in each scene, and gives a new meaning to “playing with your food”.

The artist posing in front of one of their scenes.

On their site www.minimiam.com, they talk about their passions and how their careers led them to their passion. Akiko Ida is from Japan and Pierre Javelle is French, but their art passions brought them together. They met studying photography at the Paris “Arts Decoratifs” art school and the rest is history. Here are a few of my favorites, not only because some of them look delicious, but because they are fun and awesome pieces of art!

Creme Brulee...YUM!

Cookie Dough Hikers...FUN!

Hot stuff!

Sushi and Ninjas, need we say more?

Epic film moments!
